I’m well into my third trimester now and the urge to start accumulating masses of arguably unnecessary baby accessories is kicking in. But this one I must have. It is, afterall, a lobster. A lobster.

Hi folks! What a month it has been! I am so sorry for the absence of posts. We have been very busy in these parts what with the launch of Olli Ella’s baby bedding collection, trade shows, pregnancy (mine), potty training (toddler) and then there was a fleeting week of sunshine which left us in a giddy stupor!
Okay – so here is a recap:
I am now 22 weeks pregnant with my little bean! It’s amazing how different this pregnancy is from my first, just in that with Tennyson I spent most of my time pouring over baby books and websites, learning every little thing (and worrying too) that was available to me. This time however, I have been so much more chilled out – and will probably leave my pre-baby study session to the week or so before DD, just to make sure I have the breast feeding and burping techniques up to scratch!
And then we had potty training – which I will spare you with the details – but let me just say that a month-in, I am now the very proud mama to a 2 yr old big-boy-toilet user! Tennyson underwent some big changes this month – not only did he graduate from nappies but he also moved into a big boy bed!!
And there have been trade shows to launch Olli Ella Baby Bedding – which I am so happy to say has been very well received! Here is a peek at one of our booths:

Oh and before I go – one last thing! We have some fun giveaways going on at the moment so please visit our Facebook page for your chance to win some fab swag!

Last night we had the pleasure of popping by Dragon’s of Walton Street showroom, where they were holding a launch event in celebration of Jane Churchill’s new textile collection, Nursery Tales. How lovely is this collection?!

We are big fans of the painted ercol chairs – something I am thinking of borrowing as soon my little one can sit still for longer than 40 seconds!
The collection features classic illustrations of the likes of Winnie the Pooh, Paddington Bear, and our personal favourite, Beatrix Potter.
Have a peek at the Olli Ella Glider that was custom upholstered in the Beatrix Potter print:

Love it!! Available exclusively through Dragons of Walton Street, London.
We are finally able to unveil our latest introductions – Olli Ella’s brand new baby bedding collection!

For months we have been working on our new range of luxury baby bedding – so many things to consider – from where to manufacture (it had to be England of course and we have been so very lucky to find a 300 year old linen manufacturer to lend their expertise and craftsmanship to the collection), the materials (we decided on the softest long-staple organic, Oeko-tex certified cotton), and of course the designs.

For boys baby bedding we have ‘Poppet’, which was inspired by mid-century abstract art; bold yet playful, using traditional nursery hues of sky and midnight blue.
With the girls baby bedding collection, ‘Posey’, we drew inspiration from classic Moroccan floral motifs. We played around with colours and settled on two shades of pink – blush and guava.
Both collections include bean bags, baby sleep bags, fitted sheets, quilts/ play blankets, cot bumpers (full and half size), boudiour pillows, and and framed artwork. We hope you love it!
It’s our birthday! It’s our birthday! Olli Ella just turned ONE!
What a year it’s been. Thank you so much to all of our lovely customers and friends who have supported Olli Ella.
For now we have a little treat to share for orders taking place the month of August: Free shipping (hurray!!).

How gorgeous is this neutral nursery that Oh Dee Doh just featured? Oh I am just loving the bold chevron wallpaper – so chic!

Our little guy turns two today! The past two years have been such an adventure – I feel really honoured to be the mummy of my little boy.

P.s: Does two year’s old count as a little boy – or would that still be a toddler? Things to ponder for later.
I have a secret. My nights have been taken over. Overrun by oils, creams, and mixing with the finest of sorts. Sounds racy – oh and it is, let me tell you.
I have been concocting a moisturizer! I have always been a bit of a skin care junkie – I have never been loyal to a brand of moisturiser and tend to bounce around a lot. My skin has changed a lot since having T – a little more fragile and in need of TLC. The zinger is that I once had time for lengthy skin care regimes – not anymore! I’ve always been really, really into ingredients (this is exclusive to skincare only, mind) and so have been gearing myself up for this endeavour for a long time. Now you are probably thinking a nice, wholesome do-it-your-self moisturiser is what I had in mind. A bit of oatmeal? Maybe some essential oils and coconut butter-type thing. No, no.
Last night I finally took the plunge and gathered a selection of ingredients that I have been rounding up (copper peptides, bearberry, Epidermal Growth Factor – that’s right!). Spatula in hand, I mixed in all these wondrously-bizarre sounding ingredients and made my concoction – it really felt like I was in George’s Marvelous Medicine.

I’m so excited – hopefully I don’t break out in some crazy rash – at the moment it looks and smells lovely (licorice additive, perhaps?) – let’s see if it works any magic!
Well! Just got back from a sneaky long weekend in Marrakesh, which we spent with our dear friends Caitlin, Sam and their adorable toddler, Gigi. From London it’s only a 3 hour flight until one is transported to this magical Moroccan city – and three days there felt like three weeks. Everything just s l o w s down.
Caitlin and Sam are the duo behind Popham Design – an unbelievable Moroccan tile company that boasts a collection of the chicest cement tiles (they are featured everywhere!). It was a funny trip in that this is the first time we had all gotten together since the birth of our little ones; our conversations, which once would go on for hours, were now punctuated with sidewards warnings to our respective offspring: “Share”, “No biting, please!” – you know what I’m talking about.
I have to share pics of their beautiful home (the tiles are all Popham Design):

The above shot is of the guest bedroom where we were absolutely giddy to be sleeping.

It was quite embarrassing too because Gigi, the coquettish 15 month old, fell quite hard for Tennyson, who in contrast was quite overcome by her expressions of adoration (British little girls are much more reserved in their affections apparently). Tennyson spent most of his time dodging well-intentioned kisses and acting like a bit of a strop!
